Braid

The best game i have played recently. Its a fusion of puzzle, platform & story telling all fused in a beautiful & artistic package. Definitely the best puzzle-solving game I have everplayed and definitely in my all-time favourite list. Its the first time I have seen how gaming can be so artistic!!! For those who ridicule gaming and think its meant for kids, go and check out this game. It should dispel those thoughts & if it doesn't then you are too bland to appreciate art. Hope other game developers take note of this game and actually build some serious games rather than some sloppy stories with repetitive gameplay.

Nothing radically different in Firefox 3.5. The claimed speed improvement is too negligible to notice.

Blending 3D models with videos

Currently, we leave the work of capturing detailed videos to professional videographers & building complex & intricate 3D animated scenes to the likes of Pixar & company who take a painstaking effort, time & money in creating masterpieces. In fact even games are getting so realistic that they would be beating Pixar & company pretty soon. However, what we need is a simple conversion utility which will convert a video into a 3D world in which 3D characters can move about realizing the presence of walls and should be able to interact with the objects present in the videos. According to me this blend between videos & 3D animation is an interesting angle to research as it would open an exciting possibilities. Remeber playing Sims type game an walking down Champs Elysees with your date and making out with her, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. And obviously the woo-hoo can be done somewhere or the other :-P

Bookmarking Files

There needs to exist a better way to organize files on our systems than what is currently offered. The method of bookmarking and synching bookmarks with a central server have made accessing bookmarks much more easier from anywhere. A similar techinque is desirable for offline files. So if I star a file and associate some tags with it will store it just like a bookmark. Optional backup to an external drive can be provided. This would make searching similar files spread all over your computer much easier and would help in realizing which are the important files among the entire clutter. I am pretty surprised why this has been completely overlooked...

Western fashion sucks

Gone are the days when you could spot beautiful women adorned in flowing skirts or sensual saris. They have been replaced by the new crop of mini-skirt & micro-skirt generation. Most of the don't have the physique (i.e. long legs which some of their European counterparts have been gifted with) to complement such a carefree fashion statement. The women end up looking really awkward and resemble more like prostitutes who are desperately displaying their goods to make a living.

How can all this compare to bright, vibrant & flowing skirts. Something which just gives a hint of a silhouette of those hidden slender legs. Nothing could ever beat that. Also, a sari really complements an overall well developed body by gripping all those contours which most garments miss. However, a girl who is a bit plum would just never look good in a sari. Well there would be exceptions...

However, women don't realize what clothes suit them and usually just go with the same type what their peers wear. But by doing so your beauty which is very unique gets lost and you would not feel comfortable.

Humans have a curiosity & attraction for anything which is different from the crowd. Just wear an asymmetrical cut pants and you will be surprised by the amount of attention you can gain. By asymmetrical i mean one side cut up to the knees and the other a bit longer. I remember I could not keep my eyes away from a pretty girl just because she was wearing it and I was so intrigued by the dress. Btw I rarely check out girls but asymmetric designs make our brain just go in a tizzy.

However, although I will continue to lament the death of skirts which crossed the knees, I am a hypocrite because I too am a living example of being sucked into the whole Western fashion craze. I do so because the comfort levels can beat everything except maybe a "loongi". However, women anyways take so much effort in looking good so why not try something splendid & catchy which will make even the most gay guy turn his heads :-P
