The weapon of choice was a red-cyan analglyph glass.

Pros: Popping legs & bouncing hair take porno to all new levels. More than once I felt like pulling her leg and bringing her over to my side.

Cons: Specs are a major obstacle, resulting in decent ghosting & distracting red tinges. Also, maximizing a video spoils the crispness of the 3D effect. So videos need to be captured in maximum resolution.

To sum it up theres a huge scope and pure pleasure to be derived from this, and we are bound to see many new cinematographic techniques and probably new chapters to Kamasutra to adapt to this format. However, there are many obstacles that still need to be tackled to make it a seamless and fantasmic experience.

In the immortal words of Fergie, "Tonight's gonna be a good night!" ;-)

References: http://www.youporn.com/3d

Inflation hits Old Delhi

Ustad Moinuddin's kebab prices sky rocket from Rs. 5 to Rs. 6. The lines waiting to get a ticket and then finally enter the venue were just crazy today. So if you are planning on coming on a weekend, I suggest you come in at least an hour earlier.

But the moment you are past the crazy queues, you are welcomed in true royal grandeur, through a pleasant walk through a mighty gate and beautiful gardens with monuments scattered all around. All of this is a preparation for what beholds next. The moment the projector lights switch on and the background lights get dimmed, you will be completely dazzled by the superb effects on show. There is a lot of history encapsulated in the 1 hour show, but its difficult to follow quite a lot of it.

There are also two "item" songs, with item girls and item boys. I may be over exaggerating, but they seem totally out of place and could have been shortened. Those laser lights which come on during the "item" songs are also very distracting. So although there are moments in between when it gets a bit boring, it ends on a very nostalgic note and I was full of emotions. Even though Delhi was testing us with its chilly winds, my heart was falling in love with it...

My experiments with 'I'

Solitude is one of the greatest challenges one can face in life. It needs a revolution. Its the same old plot with different characters and different subplots.

People find novel ways of stimulating this genre by taking the less treaded path of invading others privacy rather than re-enacting that which is performed in private. Its a fusion of puzzle, platform & story telling all fused in a beautiful & artistic package. Definitely the best puzzle-solving game I have everplayed and definitely in my all-time favourite list. Its the first time I have seen how gaming can be so artistic!!! For those who ridicule gaming and think its meant for kids, go and check out this game. It should dispel those thoughts & if it doesn't then you are too bland to appreciate art. Hope other game developers take note of this game and actually build some serious games rather than some sloppy stories with repetitive gameplay.

Nothing radically different in Firefox 3.5. In fact even games are getting so realistic that they would be beating Pixar & company pretty soon. However, what we need is a simple conversion utility which will convert a video into a 3D world in which 3D characters can move about realizing the presence of walls and should be able to interact with the objects present in the videos. According to me this blend between videos & 3D animation is an interesting angle to research as it would open an exciting possibilities. The method of bookmarking and synching bookmarks with a central server have made accessing bookmarks much more easier from anywhere. A similar techinque is desirable for offline files. So if I star a file and associate some tags with it will store it just like a bookmark. Optional backup to an external drive can be provided. This would make searching similar files spread all over your computer much easier and would help in realizing which are the important files among the entire clutter. I am pretty surprised why this has been completely overlooked...

Western fashion sucks

Gone are the days when you could spot beautiful women adorned in flowing skirts or sensual saris. They have been replaced by the new crop of mini-skirt & micro-skirt generation. Most of the don't have the physique (i.e. long legs which some of their European counterparts have been gifted with) to complement such a carefree fashion statement. The women end up looking really awkward and resemble more like prostitutes who are desperately displaying their goods to make a living.

How can all this compare to bright, vibrant & flowing skirts. Something which just gives a hint of a silhouette of those hidden slender legs. Nothing could ever beat that. Also, a sari really complements an overall well developed body by gripping all those contours which most garments miss. However, a girl who is a bit plum would just never look good in a sari. Well there would be exceptions...

However, women don't realize what clothes suit them and usually just go with the same type what their peers wear. But by doing so your beauty which is very unique gets lost and you would not feel comfortable.

Humans have a curiosity & attraction for anything which is different from the crowd. Just wear an asymmetrical cut pants and you will be surprised by the amount of attention you can gain. By asymmetrical i mean one side cut up to the knees and the other a bit longer. I remember I could not keep my eyes away from a pretty girl just because she was wearing it and I was so intrigued by the dress. Btw I rarely check out girls but asymmetric designs make our brain just go in a tizzy.

However, although I will continue to lament the death of skirts which crossed the knees, I am a hypocrite because I too am a living example of being sucked into the whole Western fashion craze. I do so because the comfort levels can beat everything except maybe a "loongi". However, women anyways take so much effort in looking good so why not try something splendid & catchy which will make even the most gay guy turn his heads :-P

O3D - Google brings a 3D plug-in for web browsers http://ping.fm/j2R3D

Just tested ping.fm today. It seems to be the most dumbest thing in the world!!! And I am sure very few countries can be this dumb to actually allow it to be legal.

Today's news of a gunman opening fire on immigrants is just a starter for the worse, which is definitely coming on the way. America has to understand this quicker or else it could face a situation in which almost everybody will have a reason to own a gun, even if "background check" doesn't let them have it.

I think its pointless trying to bring out the dangers involved in placing a gun in civilian hands. I know they will know how to handle it. So what!!! How can you be sure he/she will always be in a sane state of mind, and use it only to threaten an intruder and not to threaten somebody else. Its this contradiction which is bound to make it completely unsafe to let civilians have guns...

I think unless Americans do something about Gun Control their country is bound to get into deep shit trouble. As an outsider I can only comment on the issue, but I still it is important that the superpower learn to keep their country safe for the future; or else they would realize that after controlling terrorists outside their country, they cultivated "terrorists" in their own homeland. And boy will it be difficult to send drones to take them out...

This week's itinerary (why is the spelling so confusing!!!)

Feb 9: SLAP DAY - Find a hottie, Line maaro, Thappad khao
Feb 10: CHOCOLATE DAY - Gift the girl a box of her fav chocolates, after removing one 4 myself
Feb 11: FRIENDSHIP DAY - Add her as a friend on Facebook, Orkut, Myspace, blah & blah
Feb 12: ROSE DAY - Surprise her with a lovely bouquet of roses (real or virtual).
Feb 13: KISS DAY - Have your 1st kiss (real or virtual).
Feb 14: VALENTINE DAY - Take her to a park and put your arms around her. I know its sounds whacko :D But really imagine having an mp3 player/ phone/ anything else packed into those mammoth sized breast implants...

Hmm...

Sorry i was getting carried away :) But as it turns out as all things i think, even this crazy idea was thought before me by some whackjob at "BT Laboratories". They thought of placing the mp3 player in one boob and the storage device on the other. Bluetooth connectivity will ensure that the headphones will be the only thing you will require. And in their words - "It is now very hard for me to think of breast implants as just decorative. If a woman has something implanted permanently, it might as well do something useful."

But before i found out that there does exist a world filled with whackjobs like me, I was really thinking through the practicalities of such a thing. It seems over 3,00,000 women (including men who wanna be women) a year get breast augmentations in the US alone. Take the whole world and that leads to atleast 5,00,000/year. That seems like a decent target market.

But more importantly lets think of how this thing should work. I was thinking that one could easily squeeze in a cellular device in one and the mp3 player + storage in the other. So you could have one of those futuristic looking headphones on your ears which will let you play music or take calls all connected through bluetooth. But how does one dial numbers or select songs. This is quite a tricky business. The BT labs guy was suggesting a wrist device, but i doubt women will ever wear bulky wrist devices. The best system would be voice-enabled; however present systems are very poor and would not be cost effective. Hence, I believe we can have a touch based mechanism, similar to the click-wheel, on the bluetooth headset. But how do u know what you are selecting - the results will be returned through voice of course! But indeed this system is insanely boring, one definitely needs a simple voice-enabled system.

So there you go you get a free mp3 player & phone with your boob job. Tada!!! Even the poor porn star can tune into her favorite radio channel while she gets humped.

On a more serious note, one could embed even smarter devices like sensors and gps units. The sensors could monitor presence of breast cancer and heart rates. And when one goes into a critical condition, a distress signal can be sent to medical authorities along with GPS coordinates.

So it all makes a lot of sense right - nah i m just kidding; i wrote this post just to have a great laugh myself. But you never know..... There will be a day when every woman will get a smart breast implant once they get over 18 or something and the world will become a very beautiful place indeed ;-)

p.s. : The author of this post has no affixation with over-sized breasts. Oh my what a movie, sorry what an idea!!! The concept is mind-blowing. A device which records all the sensations and neural activity of an individual and lets anybody replay all the events experienced.

SPOILER AHEAD: This concept is taken to the extreme in which a girl is tied to a bed by the assailant (man) who is recording his brain. Then he slits the girls throat and places another device which would play the recording live on her brain; so whatever the man experiences, the woman would. As the girl bleeds, the man starts raping the girl. The girl, oblivious to the blood oozing from her throat, experiences the cruel and chilling pleasure of a rapist. Hence, when the the man reaches his climax so has the woman and with the sudden jerks she experiences she dies.
SPOILER ENDS.

The weird thing is that although there is no nudity in the movie on TV, its U rated on Tata Sky. I can bet you don't want to be watching this movie with your kids, parents or girlfriend ;-)

On a much much lighter note i watched "Ghajini". Class movie! Aamir Khan is one of those rare actors who has talent. The remaining Khans are all just wasting our time if not theirs. But i was wondering how amazing it would be to be play a game based on the movie. Unfortunately as always i wasn't the only smart ass who realized this as FXLabs Studios will be developing it for Eros International. The graphics and animation seem to be not bad.

But what i am all enthu about is the gameplay. What is it to develop a game in which the protagonist suffers from short-term memory loss, while most gamers suffer from no such weakness :-P It beats me how can one make an engaging game which can capture the essence of the film. Well one things for sure it will be one heck of an action game and i would luv it to have much more blood n gore than the movie :-P Mwuhahahhahaha

The best part would be if the unlockables would be the dance sequences and item numbers. There should be close-ups and camera hovering while the 3D Jiah Khan (with even larger assets) and Asin perform dance steps. YUM!!!

The game i heard was to be released on the 28th Dec but ab tak koi news hi nahi :( I am sure i will buy it even if it gets half good reviews.

Mallu beauty and wittyness

Kudos to Parvathy Omanakuttan for grabbing the runner-up title in the Miss world International. The Son of Man himself said that he would return to chose the "good" from the "bad". And that there would be very few who would still be following the principles he laid with sincerity, as most of them would be filled with evil spirits of greed, hatred and jealousy.

However, this makes me wonder if that this is all just a figurative way of telling us the people who inhabit this world, to transform our fellow inhabitants and lead them to to the correct path and rid this world of all evils.

To understand what i am saying recollect the Last Supper, [Matthew 26:26-28]

While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. "Take and eat it," he said; "this is my body."

Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to them. "Drink it, all of you," he said; "this is my blood, which seals God's covenant, my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

And we all imitate this ritual every Sunday to receive the holy communion. Hence, we all have been blessed with a part of Christ's very own body, blood and soul. Hence, when the Son of Man says that he shall return to this world, what he would have meant is that through the collective spirit of all those who protect his spirit in themselves, he shall return to once again rule this world. Not that he would appear in flesh and blood a single human, but as a collective spirit to rid the world of all evils.

So, we all must get rid of all ills that have plagued our society and bring about the change that has been eagerly awaited for centuries. It is for us to bring change to this world and when we all put a collective effort, with the blessings of our Lord, that change will sweep this world so rapidly that it will take those filled with evil by surprise.

To that day i dream of....

A couple of Ideas

Both these stuff are related to Computer Science. So it would most probably seem pointless to people not well versed in it.

1. Convergence of operating systems for mobile phones

The problem is that we right now have monolithic operating systems on our phones. So a Nokia phone can run only Symbian; HTC can only run Windows Mobile & the fucking iPhone runs only Apple stuff. That is the operating sytem is linked to the hardware. This results in issues for application developers; as they would need to replicate their application development for all the prominent environments to gain sufficient users.

One solution, would be to let our mobile phone to load any OS we want it too; just like we do for our PCs. This would require the development of a microkernel (hypervisor) on mobile phones. Well this obviously was much much more complex than what i expected :-P

2. Smart compression of web pages to reduce bandwidth usage

Lets consider the example of a blog. The only thing that changes, usually, is the text (post entry). The template reamins the same as you browse a blog. So rather that loading the html page, you should just load the text. The essence is that one should only be loading the difference in the pages and the construction of the actual html code would be handled by the browser on the clients side.

A better use would be in the case of the advertisements which exist on almost every page we visit nowadays. Rather than loading the advertisement every time I press "Next" or browse some other page of the same web site (example - a news portal), i can cache the ad and just load where it needs to be displayed on the page. Usually, the loading of the ad takes a significant time of the total page loading.

The advertisers too will have no issues as the ad will be present even before the complete text has been loaded. The user too isnt suffering anything as we are just loading the text and additional objects (pictures, etc.). hence surfing pages of websites, maintained by the same server will become much faster and would also reduce a significant amount of the bandwidth used. Its a win-win situation for almost everyone. The only catch is that there needs to be "sufficient" cache. But, we already allocate "sufficient" cache, its just that we dont utilize it properly. This will let you improve the use of the cache memory.

Any comments are always welcome :-)

Insuring your job hmmm....

After seeing a depressing photo of "extremely pretty" air hostesses on the TOI front page, made me wonder why we cant insure our jobs. There MUST be a very good reason why we see no need to handle over the headache to an insurer.

I agree one can always deposit his money and invest that "smartly" to take care of any untoward incident which leads to one losing his/her job.

But wouldn't be better if i cover your "job security" by assuring at least 75% of your salary for a year, 50% for the 2nd & 25% for the 3rd till you find the correct job (rather than desperately joining a low-profile company). Obviously the salary to be used should be the basic pay you were receiving when you were fired. This could be very useful suppose you get involved in an accident and the company considers you a liability it doesn't want to bear. You and your family can live with almost similar life-styles without much worry. Also, this would encourage bolder decisions to be taken by employees rather than always being conservative and fearful of being axed.

But obviously you need to keep putting monthly or annual payments which go to the premium of the contract.

Theres got to be a catch somewhere as it must be difficult for the insurer to assess risk. But it seems quite straightforward to me. One always has ratings for established companies and one can always assess the track record of an individual.

One possibility is that since you are always interested in operating only in the middle-income earning groups, it could be extremely difficult to work with low-income group as assessing risk would be almost impossible. Also, the high-income group would always consider themselves to be smarter investors.

Even then it seems to be quite a viable idea. Then why not have it??? hmmm...

Proof by Contradiction

Thm: Place any bet on the occurrence of an event E with a stake of P (in any currency) with me and I will lose it.

Proof by Contradiction :

I can disprove any counter claim of the existence of a bet on the occurrence of an event E' with a stake of P' with me in which I win, by taking a parallel bet that if we indeed find such a bet, I shall hand you P'/2 (in the same currency) otherwise you pay me 3P'/2 (in the same currency). To just shut his mouth, I gave him some stupid reply.

But, it made me wonder why was it so important to find the answer of this "elusive" question. Other that the fact that it might help your ego, I believe that deciding that you are good at something at an early stage of life, even before witnessing the scale of the world is just deceiving yourself...

Why should one even bother what you are good at, when what you may be good at has no use. What one needs to understand is how to contribute his best to the "collective good". Finding ways to coordinate and bring the best out of each individual in his life, so that he in turn could spread the goodness to all. A "good" teacher is an example of such a personality, who can mold many personalities to be filled with the goodness of life or the evil ways.

I have a dream in which a collective force of good shall develop that shall take this world, filled with evil and greed, with surprise. That day we can send our children into this world without fear that the world would bring harm onto them. Until that day, my brothers and sisters, we must put our heart and soul into spreading the word of "everything that stands for goodness" to all those whom we meet, work and play with.

"Adventurous" Women!!!

Many of you Delhiites, would have heard CM Sheila Dikshit's remark on women becoming adventurous and staying out late in the night. Its really painful that our society has corroded to such low levels that women find it so difficult to live a "normal" life, where they can do things and do jobs without being pestered and living in the fear of eve-teasing, rape and other such deeply traumatic experiences. Some say that this is only a thing that happens in the cities and blame it back onto the women saying that sometimes they are only asking for it by looking so "provocative". But I totally disagree on that as women in villages generally be "extra" careful by staying in homes once the sun sets. However, in city life you can't curtail the freedom of a women to pursue the life she wants to.....

It seems obvious to me by now that "Indians" are a generally "pervert"ed class. Just seeing the no. of rape accusations per day should be proof enough. I just cant seem to realize why education and general economic growth seem to be not having sufficient effect on the "dicks" of these offenders. I somehow feel compelled to blame a part of this on the media. They have to change the way they report such matters. Because, i was wondering from where do these offenders get such ideas. Its all from the society and what they witness. They realize how helpless women get and this must be influencing them to square off their waise "fucked up" life. It just cant be possible that if one was parented and schooled well one could have come up with such a concept. I am damn sure the first time I heard this word was in a newspaper and realized what it was from the media itself.

However, the government cant do too much to change the media i guess.... But it can do a lot by stricter policing. They should have a special cell for "Safety of Women" or something like that. And they should put their top guys( and women of course) into it. There should be continuous policing of all areas in the city during the night. Essentially, the top police brass should be held responsible for the failure of the policing efforts. And very importantly there has got to be a very thorough checking of the kind of police joining such a force. You definitely don't want any one with a history of drinking problems joining such a force. Strict profiling should be done and the staff should be paid well. Importantly, they should be broken into small groups - one for each neighborhood. And they should be paid a bonus based on the review of that neighborhood. So we can have something like a neighborhood watch.

If we don't take these issues seriously, India's image will definitely get tarnished. Why are we such a "fucked up" country.... there are just too many problems.... and it soo sad that i am still an integral part of its 1 billion pop. and not doing anything about it other than just giving some simple ideas for people on the top who seem to be never implementing anything... Why.... Whats the use of making money, buying houses and enjoying your life when the whole society around you is degrading..... Running away from the problem is not the soln... Being blind isn't too...

Gaming and Superpowers

Just finished an insanely addictive game - "Tradewinds Caravans 1.0". I know you must be wondering, how the hell could it be addictive, but i dunno these guys have made it sooo good that i decided to stop only when it said that the story mode was over and i could continue playing the "open road" mode. That sucks!!

But what got me surprised is how playing a game, makes me devote my attention and thinking into a single activity continuously, without really tiring me at all. There is something in these games which tingles some part of the brain that lets you maximize efficiency of our brain (and body too). This was something i saw in my buddy who used to play for over 24 hrs at a stretch.

There should be research going on how a game can somehow modify the way our brain & body works. I bet even a Yogi will find it difficult to match what certain games can do (to certain people). And do remember the yogi isn't really solving any problems (or slashing throats or giving headshots or carrying out a chain of perfect drifts or furiously applying keyboard shortcuts for his finishing moves). If scientists figure out what the secret behind all this is we would be able to switch ourselves into a "BERSERK" mode where we could keep doing (whatever we do) fultu!!!

Hoping that the insane profits made by the Gaming industry go into finding the next whacky thingy, which will ensure that no parent/teacher will say - "Gaming is just a waste of time"

The land of the Moustached Men

Welcome to my 1st post coming to the land of the "Moustached men" - Bengalaru. Its a lovely place, in terms of weather, i am speaking comparatively of course. Well the first thing u will notice reaching here is not that all men have stout moustaches, but that almost everything is written using "jalebis", as my dilli ka buddy in the PG says :-D

Slowly as time passes, you will figure out that almost every fricking guy has a solid moustache n a clean shave beard. So if there is any bengalaru gurl who doesnt dig in moustached men, she will be really desperate to go out with a non-local. So if you want to bank on that theory, you will definitely get laid here; until and unless all daughters are made to take an oath they will only get "jiggy-wiggy" with a moustached man. Well thats too much to contemplate.

After a lit bit more exploring n observing, you will definitely notice there are a hella lot of chinkis out here. I guess its the BPO industry or somthing. I also checked out this cool "Taste of Tibet" restaurant out here. Although the food is really weird its got a good crowd and the owner plays good music.

Moving on, if u got absolutely nothing to do; you will notice the "electricity line wiring" people were hired directly from "Whirlpool". Because the electricity lines are so messed up, you got to see it to believe it. They all go in twirl and knots and are managed so poorly, even in posch localities. The "jalebi" effect continues over here too.

But the most comical experiences are those when a dumbass rides a totally worthless motorcyle in full speed, without a silencer. Its definitely the most bugging thing u will ever come across in Bengalaru. And its never sm Hayabusa or smthing its always sm old good-for-nothin bike, from which the ASS-o-LE has removed the silencer and proudly presents it in full of its deafening glory.

At the end of the day, after getting really tired and exhausted. When i lie down on my bed and switch of my lights, (WARNING : No objectionable matter is going to come ahead of this) I am treated to these very meticulously placed neon stickers of stars and a crescent moon. Its definitely a pleasant sight and very soothing, at night. Its something every kid would luv 2 have in his room, including me. Only that i prefer other things 2...........

;-)

Puppy Power!!!

I really dont know why i think its a problem, but i still think its an unsolved problem.

The issue is that there are a lot of stray dogs in iit delhi and many more who have been added recently. You can see a lot of sweet-looking and adorable puppies. But my mind thinks of them only a menace. U see my heart is for them, par mere bheje mein thodi fite hai.

I guess its the background. In aamchi mumbai many of the plush localities have become critical of having stray dogs in their neighborhood and take a lot of care to sterilize & vaccinate them. And all of this is done very professionally, without the involvement of the gunda pound guyz. An i have actually seen this being done & i felt that there wasn't too much stress on the dog either.

What dazzles me is that here in delhi nobody even relates 2 this as a problem. When i spoke to the dean of stuo bdents, iit he seems te the least concerned and believes it has no importance. He said he tried to throw out the dogs out of iit but it didn't work of some dumb "Wolf Pack Theory". Its obvious that if u remove the dogs artificially, they would be replaced by others. But that isn't the right approach anywayz.

I gave a presentation for NSS on this issue and about the NGOs in Delhi who could help, but looking at the response, i understood that there was something missing in the people itself. People think that such kinda issues are not of importance. I told my frnds that the problem becomes visible later and they 2 agreed after 2 years.

Even now when i look at the cute puppies, i think that most of them aren't going to survive it in the long run as there is no one to really take care of them. Either u adopt them or ensure that there arent too much to worry about. But i guess nobody really cares a damn...

Pehle toh taggin hota kya hai???

Neways sum thingz u do 4 ur frnds 2 please them n sum thingz u do 4 ur enemies just 2 kick their ass. He was walking in measured steps, seeing how tired his legs were. How much more could he stand it. For the last few years, the boy had left his home in search of a new life, something unique, something challenging, something special. He had till now not found anybody who would give him a job. All of them rejected him even before he was allowed to speak.

The boy walked through the old market place, with his cloth bag hung on his shoulder. It contained all his old and precious memories. He treasured it for it were the only remnants of his glorious days, days when his parents used to be proud of him, when he had a lot of friends. But now he was walking in an alien world, where nobody understood him.

He was getting so frustrated these days that his eyebrows had been constricted permanently and his forehead had wrinkles as if he were an old man on his resting bed. He kicked on a nearby stone, with no concern. He heard some voices shout at him. But the boy had developed such a hatred for the world he was the least concerned. He sat down with his hands embracing his legs, and his teeth clenched together. He was so angry, that thoughts came and gone in a flurry. He could not understand why people didn't appreciate his abilities. He bent his head on his knees. He wanted to cry, but he knew that if he did he will accept defeat.

The market was getting busy, as people hurried to complete their shopping, as by the looks of the threatening skies and the fiercely winds a storm was impending. A lightning struck and the boy was shook. He looked up, frightened. He saw a woman totally covered in a black purdah from head to toe, standing just a feet away from him. She must have been observing him for quite some time. The boy was worried why she was looking at him.

The woman bend down on her knees and held the boy's cheeks with her hands. The boy was startled at what was going on. She began to whisper some verses, which the boy couldn't understand. They sounded like Arabic. He felt the warmth of her tender hands. A touch, which he had so much wanted all his life.

She then told the boy in her heavy accent,"Allah, has a divine purpose for you. You must not give up now. Repeat this 'Inshaallah I shall serve my purpose'." The boy couldn't understand why he was being made to repeat this. But she repeated again,"Please repeat after me young boy - 'Inshaallah I shall serve my purpose'." The boy not knowing what to do stuttered,"Insha-allah I shall serve my purpose." The woman lifted her veil partly, smiled and kissed the boy's forehead.
The boy was in a trance. He closed his eyes for a moment...

He slowly opened his eyes and realized the woman had disappeared. The sky was clearing and the traders were closing shop. He lifted his bag and started walking on. His head was relaxed and rejuvenated. His youthful eyes had seen purpose...

The threesome

Well as usual this post is my usual reflection on myself. If someone too found himself in a similar situation, that is indeed interesting.

Well heres the deal. Today i had 2 adjudicate this parliamentary debate (pd). It was a iit(basically only guyz college) vs jmc(only girls college). It was a 3-on-3 debate. Not a bad debate on hindsight. Interestingly, being Woman's Day JMC won. However, i doubt how much that played on us (adjus).

The gurlz from jmc were quite hot... n in iit standards "tote" i guess thats hw they call it. I am not the leering types, but i guess that i had definitely noticed that each of them were pretty in their own way, during the debate of course.

But interestingly sorry not interestingly, freakingly i just couldn't identify that which girl spoke in which order. At the end of the debate i had absolutely no idea, as to who each of them were. I do agree that i was pre-occupied with writing what they were saying on paper, but the fact of the matter was i just couldn't differentiate them when they were more than suff things to diff. eg. there was this girl with a nose ring and i had noticed it at the start, one was almost boyish in figure (if u understand wat i mean, tho' i have no qualms with it), one had got a bruise just below her nose. But i dont know whether any of these were the same, i assume they were different. But i still i don't know which 1 spoke 1st, etc.

However, with the guyz i had no probs on the same issue. Now shut up if ur giggling 'gay gay'. I can prove u wrong on that count atleast. The problem is i perceive some ppl (gurlz esp. for me) to look the same, until there is smthing radically different in how they look. I have always preferred uniqueness over better quality, speciality over superiority, etc. etc.

But i guess the root problem may lie even deeper. I think its with my upbringing and environment. For eg. take my college IIT - its famous 4 its brains & notorious for its scarcity of girlz & absolute lack of babes.

I believe my brain has spent so much time looking at men's faces for so long, to try n remember them it takes more effort to keep the minute details required to do so. However, since it doesn't come across many women who matter much to me, it just doesnt take that much effort in remembering until n unless they are indeed absolutely unique in their own way. This kinda makes me very picky even when it comes to noticing women. My brain just filters out people who look similar to the average woman. It lets me notice only those who are significantly different on either side of the scale.

Now comes the question of whether i shud be worried of this or not???
Well if i cum across more gurlz who r both unique n "tote" then thats not a prob, but otherwise it maybe. Cause its just my brain telling me to ignore the rest. However i have always preferred personality over looks. So these shouldnt make much of a difference for me. But i really hope so...

Gulp...

No Country for Old Men

This is a movie I was very pleased to see it won the Oscars. So congratulations to the Coen Brothers!!!!

However this is one movie which taught me how immature i am at appreciating art. It showed me an interesting perspective of very purposefully not feeding scenes to the viewer and let him guessing what fate would have had in store for the characters.

Its the kinda of movie that does not let you sleep until you watch it again n again till you are tired of scratching ur head and reconciling to the fact that there may be no reason for what is shown in the movie than to show it the way it has been shown.

However, the feature which i would take back from this movie would definitely be the fact that the Coen Brothers didn't even need to hire any music producers or anybody of that sort as the movie just didn't have any music. The warm desert breeze was so calm and tense at the same time. Just the right setting for the movie.

The sound was so brilliant it actually made me enjoy it when i went for a mid-afternoon stroll in my campus. The sound of the warm wind blowing through one's ears is definitely one of the best things one can appreciate. It gives a lovely feeling of forgetting the busyness of city life.

It's like Mother Nature whispering to you but you just don't know why...

Bowing to technology

Just a passing thought... You must have noticed people all around you bowing their heads down, all engrossed in the same activity. An activity which has or may have transformed life for all of us.
This technology has literally made mankind bow to honor it.

I am talking about the "marvelous" mobile phone. You'll find dozens of teens tapping away to glory on their handsets, busy executives trying to utilize it to its full potential. But this damn piece of tech would not be of any use if we would not bow our necks down.

Its amazing to see how girls n guyz are just lost in amazement writing an sms to their loved ones or a young kid lost playing some stupid game on it. All of them bending their necks and symbolically bowing down to their hand set. The stupidity however doesn't end there. There are the "tech-savvy" execs who equip themselves with the "Stylus", supposedly mightier than the sword. But the damn thing only wastes even more time n commands even more bowing.

However its interesting to note, that we somehow expect the very technology to improve over time and provide us with handsfree typing facility, or atleast i do.

However technology has this dirty habit of making us do "more work" not literally but in the sense that work we would not have done before.

For example, take cars. Before u bought one you would never have had to do the entire tiresome wheel-changing business. But mind u, I am not complaining.

Its just that i find mobile phones sumthing which have tremendously changed our lifestyles.

Another thing i have noticed, those hot girls who go out with boys on bikes. Well one thing is for sure the girls are definitely getting hotter :-) But mysteriously they seem to be always chatting with someone on their phones. I mean even when they are taking a ride they all wish to be connected with every god damn soul in the world. Its rare to find a girl actually hugging her bf.
